Important notices

4.5.2012: The lab is closed for Summer! (more)
18.1.2012: Lost & Found (updated 16th April 2012)

General

The following rules and instructions, in addition to the general rules of the University, are now in effect for any Networking Academy course arranged here. We assume that you have read and understood them.

<rules>

The Laboratory Exercises and Module Exams are not compulsory, but will be worth a considerable amount of points. Without them, your grade will not be very good. You can take the Module Exams up to five (5) times; the latest result will count.

There is no passing limit for the Final Exam or the Skills-Based Exam(s) - any score is considered to be a PASS. One retry is allowed for each exam, and the better score will count. A Weighted Score, as calculated automatically by the Online Gradebook, of 60% or better is required to pass the course. The weights are listed in the Online Gradebook.

Grade limits: 60%/1, 68%/2, 76%/3, 84%/4 and 92%/5. Decimals will be rounded to the nearest integer.

You may bring hand-written notes to the Skills-Based Exam(s), but you cannot have them back, so write a separate set of notes for the exam(s). The notes will be destroyed by the Instructor after the course has been graded.

No other material, except that provided by the Instructor, may be used in the supervised exams. The Module Exams are not supervised.

You will have to leave your personal belongings (mobile phones, calculators, bags etc.) to the Instructor before the Skills-Based Exam(s). Only hand-written notes, blank papers and pen(s) are allowed. If you are found with a mobile phone or other communications device during an exam, you will immediately fail the exam, and an official process for examination fraud will be started.

IMPORTANT! When you start a module exam, make sure that you finish it as well!
Don't care about the points - you can take the module exams again, up to five (5) times.
If you don't finish the exam by clicking 'Submit' on the last page, the exam will have to be re-enabled manually by the instructor(s),
and that may take some time - from a couple of hours to several days, depending on the phase of the Moon.
In addition, when the exam is re-enabled for you, you'll have to restart it within one hour.
